"In parallel with the driftwood I collect, I spent the majority of my young life drifting up and down the south coast of England, eventually finding a home in Cornwall a few years ago. As an amateur sculptor, I was always eager to incorporate inappropriate manmade forms, and revelled in the transformation they would undertake into something quite special. I see doing what I do now with driftwood is merely an extension of that."

 

"How the ocean carves and shapes each piece can't be replicated and I am proud to be in a position to work with this wonderfully alluring natural resource. Visualising the raw shapes I find, as something useful, is a really rewarding challenge."
