Ocean life Coffee Table with Solid Oak Legs
The top of the table is a railway sleeper found washed up on Porthtowan beach.
Originally, the outer side of the sleeper was to be the topside of the table. However, after being split in two, a wonderful labyrinth of worm holes was revealed, creating a facinating pattern which was crying out to be used.
The solid legs are made from oak from an old pier support post.
Handmade oak studs mimick the large iron rivets originally found driven through the wood, and finish the piece.
